What is PVC compound?

PVC compounds are used to produce PVC products.

Many PVC products need to be granulated first, so PVC granulation, some are directly used for powder, not granulation.

PVC compounds can be divided into PVC pipe particles, PVC wire and cable particles, PVC cable box particles, PVC profile particles, etc.

What are the characteristics of PVC compounds?

1. Electrical properties of PVC compounds

The electrical properties of PVC compounds depend on the residual amount in the polymer and the type and amount of various additives in the formula. The electrical properties of PVC are also related to heating conditions. Compared with non-polar polymers such as polyethylene and polypropylene, the electrical properties of PVC vary with frequency and temperature. For example, the dielectric constant decreases as the frequency increases.

2. Chemical properties of PVC compounds

PVC has good chemical stability. PVC is stable to most inorganic acids and bases. It decomposes into hydrogen chloride without being thermally dissolved.

3. Processability of PVC Composites

PVC is an amorphous polymer material. Due to its poor thermal stability, it contains a small amount of HCl at this temperature, which is conducive to its further decomposition. In order to restrain its catalytic cracking reaction, alkali and hydrochloric acid must be added as stabilizers. The properties of the resin related to PVC treatment include particle size, thermal stability, molecular weight, apparent density, purity and impurities and porosity.

What are the main uses of PVC compounds?

1. General PVC soft products.

PVC compounds can be extruded into pipes, cables, wires, etc; Plastic sandals, soles, slippers, toys, auto parts, etc. can be manufactured by injection molding machines with different shapes.

2. PVC transparent material.

After the PVC compound and additives are mixed and plasticized, a transparent or color film with a certain thickness is formed by a three-roll or four-roll calender, and then processed into a calendered film by this process. It can also cut and heat seal packaging bags, raincoats, tablecloths, curtains, inflatable toys and other processing. Wide transparent film can be used in greenhouse, plastic greenhouse and plastic film. Biaxially stretched film has heat shrinkable properties and can be used for shrink packaging.

3. PVC coated products.

The PVC compound paste is coated on the fabric or paper, and then plasticized at a temperature above 100 ° C to make the backing imitation leather. It can also be produced by first rolling PVC and additives on the film, and then extruding them with the substrate. The imitation leather without substrate is directly calendered on a soft board with a certain thickness, and then embossed. Artificial leather can be used to make suitcases, purses, book covers, sofas, car cushions, etc. floor leather can also be used for building floors.
